A message from Nigel

Dear Everyone,

I pray health and wholeness upon you. May you know His peace and His love at this time.

Many of you will have heard the Prime Minister's instructions last night. Amongst them was an instruction for all churches to close their buildings. Future weddings and Baptisms are postponed and only close family can attend funerals. we shall be observing these stipulations.

This morning members of the community delivered a special edition of Westoning on Sunday to every home in the village and a postcard informing the village of the church's desire to help was also issued.

We are a united church though currently dispersed. Through social media we can stay in touch and if any of you has a need which we can possibly help with then please do link with us. There are phone numbers on the website and if we can't help we will get someone who can. Can I encourage you to encourage one another. A text or a short phone call can mean a lot to someone who is isolated.

Also please use the website. We shall update it with articles such as the latest one : 'The Christian Response to Coronavirus' and here is a link to the Church of England resources for prayer and worship.

In addition Linda and I are looking to offer a short service/reflection at the weekend which could be used as a collective worship on line. More details will follow.

In the meantime, why not consider this time as a  Lenten period of denial. Jesus is there with you.

Stay together in new ways but observe what the government is telling us. Pray for one another and share the love of Jesus whenever and wherever you can.

with love and prayer

Nigel and Linda
