Notices:

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY. We will be marking Remembrance Sunday a little differently this year. As it is the 100th anniversary of the ending of WWI, the service at Westoning will take place at 10am. when hymns, prayers and readings will be offered with organisations from within the community taking part. It is anticipated that the service will end at 10:40am, when we will leave church and process to the War Memorial for 11am., where the names of our fallen will be read out, 2 minutes silence observed, tributes laid, and a hymn and final blessing offered.

CALLING ALL SINGERS. The Quintet Choir, a mixed ability group, are meeting at Harlington Church every Thursday at 7:15pm to prepare for various special services. Why not come along.

YOUTH MATTERS. We propose launching a LITTLE STARS group at Westoning School. This will be for a few Mums and Tots to meet once a week at 1.30pm – 3pm one day a week. Could you join a rota of helpers? More details available from Jane, Margaret and Eileen.

We would like to run our first CRAFTY CHURCH, a monthly meeting for 5-9 year olds. We would need people to help with crafts and others to prepare tea. Potentially this will be a great outreach. We will only proceed if we have enough helpers. Could you help? Speak to Nigel.

HELP NEEDED. Would you be prepared to be on the rota for church cleaning? Could you help with our technology? Can you prepare a PowerPoint? Would you help with a Church Yard working party? Let Nigel know.

LENDING LIBRARY ´╗┐Please do look at our lending library at the back of the church.  New books and DVDs are being added all the time. If you could also remember to sign items out and in using the exercise book. Lending Library News & Reviews will also soon appear on our church website. So, do take a look. Great review from David Dalman on his reading of Seeking Allah, finding Jesus Christ.  " Wow, what a book!  It follows the faith journey of Nabeel Qureshi from devout Muslim to becoming a follower of Jesus Christ, and what it cost him.  I found it to be extremely emotional and confess I was in tears by the end." Please send your reviews to escott21@virginmedia.com thank you.

SHOE BOXES: Leaflets and shoe boxes for this year's Samaritan's Purse Christmas appeal will soon be available at the back of church. Please do pick up the leaflets and, unless you want to make your own, the boxes. Boxes should be returned to church or to Jon and Penny Denman (720695) by 18th November at the very latest.
