LISTEN TO THE LAD

Look out you teachers, a young lad comes,

A lad whose ideas will loose your tongue,

He's come to observe the Jewish Rite

And will turn your darkness into light.

Be prepared to dig down deep

For under your answers he will creep,

His wisdom is beyond His years

And will resurrect your latent fears.

Be open minded, listen well

For wondrous news He has to tell,

His words of teaching are sublime

And will prove Himself in passing time.

Think back this day when you grow old

Recollect what you were told,

This lad is not just 'Mary's Boy'

But brings a message of much joy.

He will turn your temple upside down

Claim a kingdom but not a crown,

Take heed you teachers and be taught

By Him who brings your world to naught.
