HUMOUR

“Laugh and the world laughs with you”

May not be always true,

Not everyone sees the funny side

No matter what you do.

Some will laugh at anything

Guffawing right out loud,

Whilst others may smile politely

But certainly not in a crowd.

No matter how you tell it

Some folk will never laugh,

They look at you in pity

Thinking you must be daft

Comedians on the 'telly'

Use writers and auto cue

In real life some are hopeless

With the miseries and blues.

Now how to make people start to laugh,

Well, it begins with you,

If you see someone slip on ice

Tell me what you do!

Of course you help the unfortunate

Then skid on the ice yourself,

You can either say a naughty word

Or giggle at oneself.

It's easy to laugh at others

Don't forget, they could laugh at you,

Be kind when you make others laugh

Don't say something you will rue.

Laughter is really good for you

It releases tightened nerves,

Humour makes the world go round

It's what we all deserve.
